Recently, I’ve found the Library of Congress a wealthy resource for new art and design - even though it’s all old. Not only have they pulled and posted their silent film archive on youtube, but they’ve raided the archives that feature hosts of work from early screen-printing geniuses. The WPA during the 1940’s was probably the most prolific producer of these works, and being able to syphon through the collection has been invaluable for angling Pool Boys in a modern context.
